WHY HAVE TUTORING WITH ME?

With over three decades of teaching experience, I have dedicated my career to advancing psychology education. Throughout my tenure, I have guided students to remarkable success, with many securing admission to esteemed universities such as UCL and Cambridge.

My teaching journey has been diverse, spanning various academic settings including boarding schools, private institutions, sixth-form colleges, universities, and schools. I possess extensive experience in tailoring my instructional methods to accommodate students with diverse levels of capability, ensuring that each learner has the opportunity to excel.

Competency in psychology goes beyond mere acquisition of knowledge. It involves learning how to think divergently and independently. This includes appreciating the scientific process, effectively analysing research and theories, and applying knowledge across diverse topics. Students must be equipped with these comprehensive skills to excel in the field. Such a skillset not only enhances their proficiency but also fosters a motivated and passionate pursuit of understanding the complexities of scientific thinking.
I am a confident orator and find it easy to capture students' attention when delivering lectures. While lecturing is one method, I utilise many teaching strategies in my online classes to create a challenging and rewarding learning experience. I rigorously ensure that students understand assessment objectives, specifications, and examination techniques. Additionally, I am meticulous in teaching transferable skills such as essay writing, critical analysis, and finding relevant research, all of which are crucial as they deepen their knowledge of psychology.

I possess a keen ability to identify and maximise each student's strengths while also understanding their weaknesses, enabling me to guide them effectively toward reaching their full potential

  • Inclusions: Personalised, one-on-one instruction, comprehensive test and essay markings, access to free resources tailored to your learning goals.

  • Platform: Lessons can be conducted on Skype or TEAMS.

GROUP LESSONS

  • Cost: £90 per hour (group sessions can include up to 4 students per session; costs can be split among participants)

  • Inclusions: Collaborative learning with peers, comprehensive test and essay markings, and free resources to support your group's objectives. Costs can be shared among participants.

  • Platform: Group lessons are available on Skype or TEAMS.
